In Community

Each year, as students return for classes and new students arrive on campus, the Black Student Union (BSU) hosts a welcome back barbecue to help welcome in both new and returning students to Brown University's Black community. Beta Omega Chi has for several years collaborated with the BSU in hosting the event. This calendar event typically takes place in early September.

Celebrating The Women of our community

Each year, Beta Omega Chi hosts a week-long series of events in appreciation of the women of Brown University. A key symbol of the event is the distribution of flowers to women on the Main Green.

GLOBAL SOLIDARITY

A major pillar of Beta Omega Chi's mission is social engagement. In the aftermath of the Chibok schoolgirls kidnapping in 2014 and the start of the subsequent Bring Back Our Girls Campaign, Beta Omega Chi decided to mobilize and express their voice - along with others in the Brown University community.

FIRST YEAR ON-CAMPUS CELEBRATIONS

Family

Following growing numbers and positive impact on the Brown and Providence community, Beta Omega Chi was awarded their own living space in 2016. Such success, in just three years, had to be celebrated with the beginning of many family dinners.

SECOND GRADUATING CLASS

In one year the graduating class doubled, a testament to the growth of the organization.

THE NEW GENERATION

With each new year comes a new and diverse cohort of Brothers dedicated to the mission of the founders. Although not all members of the latest generation could be present, the above highlights the latest faces of the organization.
